Cushman and Wakefield is excited to welcome Jorge Barbontin as the new General Manager at Wells Fargo Center.
Jorge is a senior real estate executive with more than 20 years of experience in construction, operations and property management. He began his career as an Operations Manager with JMB/Heitman and oversaw Miami International Commerce Center’s maintenance team. He steadily grew within and was the Managing Director of the facility, guiding the sale of the portfolio sold to PS Business Parks. At the time, the highest-priced industrial sale in Miami.
Jorge then joined Hines as General Manager. His primary responsibility was managing Airport Corporate Center, an eleven-building 5.5-acre portfolio with such prominent tenants as NCL, United Health Care, General Electric, and Nextel Communications. His career grew within Hines to the role of Group Property Manager, overseeing the company’s third-party real estate management within the State of Florida.
Barbontin recruited by Swire Properties, became the first Operations General Manager at Brickell City Center. He was responsible for transitioning Brickell City Center to full operations from construction completion. Brickell City Center is a significant mixed-use property containing two office buildings, two condominium towers, branded hotel, and over a half-million square feet of retail space with below-grade parking on a 9.1-acre site.
